MEGAN BASCOM​

Director of NYC-based Megan Bascom & Dancers, Megan was a 2nd year MFA Dance student at U-M who performed after just after she concluded an extensive summer research trip to Europe to generate ideas and inquiry for her MFA thesis project. She also taught and choreographed while in Turkey, Tunisia, Norway, and more. She showed a new in-progress solo containing resonant aspects of her recent travels.

Bascom continues to conduct research into empathy and communication through dance, movement, and touch. She is a dynamic and commanding performer, and creates works that are accessible, multi-layered, and highly physical.
